Grand View University releases community impact report

Last year, 88.5% of Grand View University graduates stayed in Iowa, according to a new Community Impact Report just published by the Des Moines-based university. The report details recent achievements in academics, athletics, student service and the arts, as well as the university’s Views Forward Project, which recognizes programs, events and improvements that Grand View has made within its east-side neighborhood. Grand View President Kent Henning said one of the facts he’s proudest of is that 89.6% of Grand View graduates stayed in Greater Des Moines in 2018. Grand View also is a net importer of talent to Iowa, as 68% of students from other states or countries stayed in Iowa after graduation. Grand View has 1,800 students enrolled, of whom more than 1,600 are full-time.
