Message from the Chairman
Dear Friends,
We are indeed grateful to the 876 donors and over 120 volunteers that generously contributed their financial resources and time to further the mission of ICF in 2004-2005! With your commitment and mutual passion for private higher education in Iowa, ICF was successful in raising $1.65 million in 2004-2005, an increase of 9% over the prior year.
We attribute much of the year’s success to the members of the Board of Governors and our corps of volunteers from our 2004-2005 area campaign chairs and teams of college representatives. Our volunteers who give graciously of their time and talent have always been the backbone of our fundraising pursuits, and we salute their dedication and enthusiasm.
ICF recognizes the importance of properly stewarding donated funds. The Board of Governors created an Audit Committee that will review the audit report as well as the performance of ICF’s endowment. The Board considers the monitoring of donated funds and budget expenses as an important responsibility.
ICF and its Board of Governors are convinced that the students attending private colleges and universities in Iowa represent important intellectual capital for our state and its economic development. To make Iowa an even better state in which to live and work, we must provide these students with all of the necessary tools and opportunities to succeed. That is what ICF sets out to do every year provide students the opportunity for a high quality education by securing financial resources for our member private colleges and universities.
On behalf of the students attending our member schools as well as the many individuals that make up ICF, please accept our sincere appreciation for your support in our mission. With your continued help, we will succeed in assuring that private higher education in Iowa will produce diverse, well-informed, and compassionate graduates.
Sincerely,
|
